A Digital Intraoral Scanner is an advanced dental technology that captures highly accurate, three-dimensional (3D) images of your teeth and gums—without the need for messy or uncomfortable traditional impressions. This modern approach improves diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning while providing a more comfortable experience for patients. Digital scanning plays an important role in delivering precise, high-quality results for procedures such as crowns, bridges, aligners, and implant restorations.

Our office utilizes a state-of-the-art digital intraoral scanner to create detailed 3D images of the inside of your mouth. This technology allows our endodontist and dental team to clearly visualize your teeth, gums, and supporting structures in full color. The detailed images make it easier to diagnose dental concerns, create accurate digital models, and plan treatments with greater precision.
Because the scanner captures multiple images in real time, we are able to distinguish between healthy and affected tissue more effectively. The highly accurate digital models produced also help ensure that restorations and oral appliances fit comfortably, function properly, and support long-term oral health.
During your visit, a small handheld scanning wand is gently passed over your teeth and gums. As the wand moves, it quickly captures images that are processed instantly to create a complete and highly accurate 3D image of your mouth. The scanner saves images automatically every few seconds, eliminating the need for repeat scans and making the process fast and comfortable.
Most patients find digital scanning easy and stress-free, especially compared to traditional impression methods.
Digital intraoral scanning offers several advantages, including:
Our infection control measures ensure your care is both safe and comfortable. Your safety and well-being are our top priority, and we always employ the highest level of precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
